What are trunnion mounted cast steel flanged ball valves?
The Jxon trunnion mounted cast steel ball valve holds the ball in place with its stem and trunnion, making it a new generation of high-performance ball valves. The Trunnion mounted ball valves are suitable for both long distance pipelines and general industrial pipelines. As well as a variety of corrosive and non-corrosive media. The medium pressure is all transferred to the stem and trunnion while working, so the ball will not have any displacement and the seat will not bear too much pressure. Therefore, the trunnion ball valve has a small torque, minimal seat deformation, and stable sealing performance. Trunnion mounted cast steel ball valves have a long service life and are suitable for high pressure, large diameter applications.
For trunnion mounted ball valve, there are springs on the seats, giving them self-tightening features. Each trunnion mounted ball valve has two valves seats, which can be sealed in either direction, making the runnion mounted ball valves versatile and unrestricted. The trunnion mounted ball valve is generally installed horizontally.

1.A floating ball valve has a ball that is free to move, allowing for small displacement under the medium pressure. Compared to a floating ball valve, a trunnion mounted ball valve holds the ball in place with both the stem and trunnion, preventing any small displcement of the ball.
2.Floating ball valves are sealed by the movement of the ball while trunnion mounted ball valves are sealed by the movement of the seat.
3.For large diameter ball valves, trunnion mounted ball valves require less torque than floating ball valves.
4.For ball valve with the same diameter, floating type cast steel ball valves usually have a lighter weight than trunnioin mounted cast steel flanged ball valves.
