What are cast stainless steel floating flanged ball valves?
JXON cast stainless steel floating flanged ball valves, it is opened and closed by the rotation of the ball. The floating ball valves have small torque and small volume while the cast steel ball valve can be manufactured in large diameters and complex valve shapes. The valve body can be 2PC or 3PC, with a simple structure that makes it easy to disassembly and maintenance. Jxon cast stainless steel ball valve can be classified into floating ball valves and trunnion mounted ball valves. What are the differences between cast stainless steel floating ball valves and cast stainless steel trunnion ball valves?
For a floating ball valve, where the ball is floating, it will experience a small displacement and press firmly against the outlet sealing surface when subjected to medium pressure. This design ensure effective sealing of the outlet end.
Floating ball valves have a simple structure and good seal. However, when the floating ball valve is closed, all medium pressure is transferred to the outlet sealing ring. Therefore, it is necessary to consider whether the sealing ring material can withstand the working load of the medium. This structure is widely used in low and medium pressure ball valves.
For cast stainless steel trunnion mounted ball valves, whose ball is held by the trunnion, there will be no replacement under medium pressure. Trunnion ball valves all have a floating seat, which moves slightly and press firmly against the ball to ensure good sealing. This ensures good sealing because the ball is held by the stem amd the trunnion, resulting in small torque for trunnion ball valves, making them suitable for high pressure and large diameter applications.
